Making Friends

Andrew and I have been busy making some friends in our “spare time” in Seattle.  It’s amazing how different it is to meet people with kids in the mix – it’s a hugely different experience than our move to Milwaukee back-in-the-day.  A few months ago we met a couple of ex-Wisconsin-ites that have been in the Seattle area for about a year.  Our girls are just a few months apart and share a lot of the same characteristics – namely, they are both Tiny but Mighty.  The girls aren’t often able to get together due to conflicting school schedules, but we grown ups make a point to hang out often.  Carrie has introduced me to a fantastic group of women that meet for Ugly Coffee (meaning it’s perfectly OK to come as you are – we’ve all had those mornings with the kiddos and understand if you’re still in your PJ pants) every week.  The women and their kiddos are awesome and I’m lucky to have found such a group already.  The girls get along great on their sporadic play dates, too.

Just a few pictures, because it was a particularly fun, lazy, laid back sort of day.
