Camping – Part I of II

We spent our first 4th of July in the PacNW the way we’ve always wanted…….camping.  We took our first trek out to the peninsula and camped in the Kalaloch campground.  It was stunning.  It took just shy of FOREVER to get there with the holiday traffic, but it was worth it.

These pics are from the first day – we visited Kalaloch Beach, Ruby Beach, grabbed some ice cream / coffee from the lodge, and enjoyed some actual conversation with my sister-in-law and her husband while the kiddos napped.  We were thankful that they seemed happy to go at our pace……slow…….and were just as excited as we were to rediscover s’mores and banana boats.
