I cannot possibly sum up the visit with our friends easily…..so I’m not going to try. We hit some of the standards and some of the seasonal favorites, we spent a lot of time at the house just letting the kiddos be kiddos……and we had a lovely Guys Night Out / Girls Night In. There were high spots and low spots, overall it was just lovely to see these amazing folks again. We are really happy here in Seattle, but we wish we could transplant some of our friends to the neighborhood!! I don’t think they’d want that, necessarily…..but whatevs. One can wish.
1st stop: Gasworks Park. I didn’t bring my camera – these are all from Erica
A quick lunch stop at a staple – Dick’s. Mmm.
On to Carkeek Park for some water splashing & tide pool exploring
Found a bunch of little critters – crabs, hermit crabs, mollusks, anemones, and sea stars
Back home. So fun to see old friends!
Isn’t my Goddaughter the sweetest??
So are you, Claire. Don’t worry 🙂
Andrew attempted to explain tide pools…..D & E were not so interested
Feeding 6 kids at once isn’t easy. This is the big kid row….
and here is the little kid row…. worked out just fine!
It was the PERFECT time of day to be there. This is Jess’s shot…I took three or four and put my camera away to soak it up.
What a trooper. I take advantage of that sometimes.
Time for dress ups!
“Evelyn, you are ridiculous.” “I know.”
Another day, another site: Ballard Locks. Again, these are all from Erica.
On to Golden Gardens to play in the Sound
When we got home they pulled out the sprinkler
It’s a tiny one – perfect for the kiddos
Took a ferry ride to Bainbridge. I love the ferries. I could spend an afternoon with a cuppa by the windows.
Claire enjoyed some peaches while there…
The bigger kiddos got some delish ice cream
Some of us checked out the town – Jess wins MOM OF THE YEAR for pushing three of the kids in the double stroller all day. Seriously.
then got back on the ferry. It was too cold for E outside, so she cleaned the seats for everyone.
Last night together –
Hanging on to her Godmama…
