Christmas In Pictures
Lots of beautiful memories from this year – some quiet time, some drama, a little bit of spice and a whole lotta love shook out into a pretty great holiday. Staying in Seattle this year, we actually spent 98% of Christmas Day in our pajamas. WIN. Just a few highlights from the season in photos. Enjoy!

Going to get the tree….
“Look at me Mama. I’m a tree.”
It’s always fun to get it home….
“I’ll help, Dad!”
She lost the privilege of putting up some ornaments (Bad Day!), but we saved the topper and some candy canes for her.
The tree shall rise again….this time in the Pack’n’Play.
We made cookies in the matching aprons my mom made for us
Then we exchanged them for this spectacular turkey mug at a swap. Evelyn was in love.
Andrew and I got to play in a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to celebrate an old guy very dear to us
Evelyn happily helped me get ready.
Hanging out at Christmas Camp
Where we got to see Santa!
No one cried – not even Andrew.
Evelyn worked hard in school
Claire happily snoozed through her afternoons
I tried my hand at quilting. It didn’t go so well, but they were made with lots of love!!!
We visited with lots of great friends!
And some helped us make Salt Dough Ornaments
We even enjoyed a Post Flu Shot – Girls’ Day Out – luncheon at our favorite sushi place
We ate some waffles. Some more than others.
(We giggled a lot)
One of us joined the Standing Upright Without Holding On club. How exciting!
(Now she can reach more things)
But she sure is beautiful!!!
Evelyn had a holiday party at school
She colored some gifts….
and painted some more….
We had some BEAUTIFUL sunsets out our windows.
AND IT SNOWED!!!! Claire wasn’t too thrilled, but mostly with her costume.
It was the best kind of snow. Sticky, perfect for snowballs, not too much, and GONE by the end of the day!
“WHAT IS HAPPENING???”
(she kept falling over – it was awesome)
I took Evelyn to the Nutcracker. It was amazing 🙂
She did great and says she wants to go again next year. We’ll see.
Claire continues to make us laugh
Andrew and I got a day out for food & a movie with friends out on the town.
Evelyn was a sheep in the Christmas pageant
She had three lines and a very small solo in a song. SO proud 🙂
Little sister watched carefully 🙂
Andrew, sadly, had to stay home sick. He still isn’t feeling like himself. Not such an awesome Christmas for him.
There was some last minute shopping – more by choice – it was fun to see the Market during the holidays
We had Christmas Eve dinner with Andrew’s sister and her husband.
Someone is a wee bit excited about Christmas…..
After the candlelight service we went out to see Claire’s birth family
The girls had caught late naps earlier, so we hung out until VERY late. NORAD had Santa in Minneapolis by the time we got home! Yikes!
Claire with her biological uncles & aunt
“Sleep in heavenly peace…..”
And under the tree it all goes! I was happy with my consignment shopping and creative gifting this year 🙂
Some of our new ornaments from the year…
Christmas Morning Waffles 🙂
My girls are amazing.
We spent the day Skyping with family and Toy Testing. Perfect.
We capped off our evening with a trip down to the park for a quick bike ride / stroll. Perfect.
Someone even decorated a random tree!
One last package for the day and a Skype with one more set of family…
Then Claire hangs up on everyone and it’s Dinner/Bath/Bedtime!
They are having a blast with their new goodies. Thanks to all for thinking so kindly of my girls!
Christmas pictures – taken quite quickly on my kitchen counter – some of the outtakes 😉
